Dr Rithvik Reddy
Dr Rithvik Reddy is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon with a subspecialist focus in Otology, Auditory Implants and Lateral Skull Base Surgery. He currently holds consultant appointments at Sydney Children’s Hospital and Liverpool Hospital, where he provides expert care for both adult and paediatric patients with ENT problems with a focus on ear and hearing conditions.
Dr Reddy grew up in Newcastle, where he went to university. He then moved to Sydney to complete a Deafness Research Fellowship at Royal North Shore Hospital. He completed a Master's Degree in Surgical Sciences through the University of Edinburgh. He then trained across New South Wales, including at all three major paediatric centres—Sydney Children’s Hospital, Westmead Children’s Hospital, and John Hunter Children’s Hospital—gaining broad experience in both general and subspecialist ENT conditions.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. After training, he completed an advanced international fellowship in Complex Otology, Auditory Implants and Lateral Skull Base Surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London - during his time there, he managed both newborn and adult patients with deafness with various hearing implants. He also managed patients with complex ear conditions such as cholesteatoma, otosclerosis, exostoses in addition to skull base conditions (such as Vestibular Schwannoma and Meningioma) working at both King's College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. In addition to his clinical work in London, he also completed an Executive Fellowship in Surgical Leadership and Innovation at King’s College London.
His particular clinical interests include cochlear implantation, middle ear implants, endoscopic ear surgery, paediatric hearing loss, chronic ear disease, exostoses, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, and skull base tumours.
In addition to his subspecialty work, Dr Reddy provides comprehensive management of common ENT conditions such as ear infections, hearing loss, tonsillitis, glue ear, nasal obstruction, sinus disease, and snoring in both children and adults. Dr Reddy sees patients of all ages - from newborns to patients in their nineties.
Dr Reddy is actively involved in clinical research and surgical education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters to his name. He is currently affiliated with the University of New South Wales and is part of several research projects. He regularly presents at national and international conferences and is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care—working closely with GPs, audiologists, and allied health teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients.
